We are constantly fine-tuning our business practices by changing with the economy, anticipating clients' future needs, and solving complex construction issues. Our diverse experience has earned us beneficial relationships with a number of trade contractors who support HGR with competitive pricing in many different geographical sectors.

With the corporate office located in Winter Park, Florida, we have been able to competitivey bid and be awarded construction opportunities throughout the southeast United States.

Richard Heinkel, President

A third generation "construction career opportunist," Richard Heinkel has over 38 years of valid experience in the industry and has been involved in hard-bid, negotiated and design/build construction projects throughout the southeastern United States. His recent achievements include projects with the Orlando Utilities Commission, City of Edgewater, Seminole County Public Schools, Wekiva Springs State Park, and many private developers. Prior to launching HGR, Richard spent 20 years with an Orlando-based general contractor, in the position of Vice President of Operations. Richard's responsibility for estimating and management functions on a number of diverse projects has given him the unique ability to adapt and deal effectively in the most challening of situations. Richard shares, along with his two business partners, the duties of seeking out new work opportunities, provides Pre-Construction Services, generates estimating budgets, and monitors the company's construction operations. Currently, Richard holds General Constracting licenses in six southeastern states and is a USGBC LEED Accredited Professtional (BD&C).

Darrin Griffin, Executive Vice President

If you've seen a Publix in Central Florida, chances are Darrin Griffin was involved in its construction. Since HGR's inception in 2003, Darrin has managed over 1,000,000 square feet of construction activity, including a number of Publix remodels, the Orlando Premium Outlet, Ottobock Health Care, RREEF Veterinary Supply and American Tower. Prior to HGR, Darrin worked as Project Manager for a major Property group in Tampa, FL, developing and redeveloping more than 300,000 square feet of retail space in that area. Darrin is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds a number of construction safety certifications. As Executive Vice President, Darrin generates new and maintains existing business for the firm, oversees and assists in preconstruction efforts, and ensures that project delivery occurs as promised.

Jim Rufrano, Chief Operations Officer

"The ultimate goal is to not only achieve the client's vision, but to also surpass their expectations," says Jim Rufrano, who's focus at HGR is coordinating and monitoring the projects' quality and timelines. As Chief Operations Officer, Jim strives to expedite and deliver products of the highest quality and craftsmanship ahead of schedule. With 15 years of hands-on experience, his accomplishments include building the fastest "Fast Track" supermarket, to date (at 79 days), managing the construction of over 1 million SF of industrial space and over 700,000 SF of retail space. Jim is directly responsible for overseeing all field related activities including monitoring budgets, maintaining precise schedules and solving construction logistics as well as subcontractor contractual compliance and safety. Jim's keen attention to detail and problem solving, both in the field and in the office, provide him with the tools necessary to produce success.
